The brick Newmarket House (left) was built by Benjamin Tuttle in 1847-1848, and torn down in the early 1940’s.
The Congregational Church, built in 1828, is now the home of the Newmarket Community Church.
Charles V. Doe’s Tailoring Shop at right was built after the 1866 fire.

Welcome to the New Market Historical Society. The Society meets March through October, on the fourth Monday of the month, 7:00 PM, at the Stone School Museum. All meetings are free, open to the public, and everyone is cordially invited.

The Stone School Museum, located high upon Zion’s Hill (Granite St.), is open every Thursday, 2-4 PM, June through August, or by appointment. If you need further information, please call 603-659-7420 or 603-659-7372 and leave a message. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
